Solis Search is aware of two properties that you can use declare on your document types to manage indexing

solisSearchNoIndex
Create this true/false property for editors to choose if the individual page shoud be excluded from the search index.
solisSearchCustomUrl
Use this textstring property to allow editors to enter a custom url to the current page. This is useful for whenever you have doc types that is only part of another page, and should not be linked to directly.

Solis Search gui plugin

Go to Solis Search gui plugin to see current configuration and statistics. Here you also find a button to rebuld index if it is out of sync with published content on the website.

Umbraco

The Solis Search dashboard control is installed on the Content node in the Content Section.

EPiServer

In EPiServer the gui for Solis Search is installed under the Tools menu in the Admin section.
